Local Small Business Wins Contract with Federal 8(a) Certification

Innovatus Technology Consulting is a certified 8(a) and Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) that provides professional services and consulting in support of government agencies and private industry.
The company is based in Chula Vista, California and its mission is to exceed customer expectations by providing innovative services and solutions at the best value with minimum risk in the areas of Managed IT Services, Cyber Security and Information Assurance, and Engineering & Technical Analysis. Innovatus Technology Consulting has experience in both the commercial and government markets, including selling through a GSA Schedule and the Navy’s Seaport-e system.
The company was certified by the SBA and began its 8(a) Business Development Program in July of 2015. In July of 2017, Innovatus Technology Consulting received an 8(a) sole source award from the Department of the Navy’s Marine Corps Systems Command for $249,764 to perform strategic support services. The company has had prior contracts with the Navy, but this award was its largest to date and was its first 8(a) award.
Innovatus Technology Consulting began working with the San Diego Contracting Opportunities Center in September 2014 when the firm needed proposal assistance on a Seaport-e contract. Since then, the company has received additional counseling and training in the areas of creating a capabilities statement, doing business with the Defense Logistics Agency, GSA Schedules, DCAA compliance, and guidance in various certifications available through both federal and state government agencies.
