Bid Description:

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the South Orange County Community College District, of Orange County, California, acting by and through its Governing Board, hereinafter referred to as “District,” will accept electronically submitted Bid Proposals for the Work of a Project described as Bid 3502-2021 Minor Interior Renovation for B200 Building at Irvine Valley College.

Project’s Preliminary Cost Estimate: $550,000.00

Mandatory Site Visit and Pre-Bid Conference: The District will be hosting a Mandatory Site Walk and Pre-Bid Conference on Tuesday June 15, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. beginning at the B-200 Building at Irvine Valley College. Attendance is mandatory and Bidders are required to sign-in. Any Bidder that does not sign-in, attend the entire conference, and/or does not arrive on-time may be deemed a non-responsive bidder. Please see the map provided in the PlanetBids System for the meeting location.

Requests for Information (RFIs): Any and all questions must be submitted through the PlanetBids system by no later than Friday, June 18, 2021 at 5:00 PM.
Submittal of Electronic Bid Proposals: Bid Proposals for the Work must be electronically submitted through the PlanetBids system at: https://www.planetbids.com/portal/portal.cfm?CompanyID=39861 no later than 2:00 PM Wednesday, June 30, 2021. Bid Proposals submitted thereafter will be rejected for non-responsiveness. Timely submitted Bid Proposals will be opened as soon thereafter as practicable. The District is not responsible for or liable to Bidders for: (i) inaccessibility of the PlanetBids portal; or (ii) untimely, incomplete or inaccurate data submitted through the PlanetBids portal.

Contractor’s License Requirements: In accordance with the provisions of California Business and Professions Code Section 7028.15 and Public Contract Code Section 3300, the District requires that the bidder possess the following classification of Contractor’s license at the time the bid is submitted: Class “B”. Any bidder not so licensed at the time of the bid opening will be rejected as non-responsive.
