Networks 2000 has been in business since 1995 and has been quite successful selling to commercial customers. They were able to quote some Federal and Public Sector customers through open market terms, but were limited. When Jenny Morse started working for Networks 2000 in February 2017, her goal was to learn how to sell to customers utilizing Federal and Co-Operative Contract Vehicles. She reached out to the San Diego PTAC, who helped her create the company’s Capabilities Statement and get up to speed on contract terms, small business initiatives, and networking events.

She also attended several trainings and workshop to learn about capabilities statements, how to do business with different government organizations and cyber security for DOD contractors.

Networks 2000 has been awarded several contracts at various levels of government, from a $719,528 award with the California Automated Consortium to a $41,683 award for the Department of the Navy in July 2018 to their most recent contract award in February 2019 for the City of Fontana for $16,846.34 for HPE Support Services.

Jenny Morse states, “Jeff Cuskey, Senior Procurement Specialist, helped us understand our contracts better. He directed us to the correct information where we discovered that we have the ability to sell to State and Local Governments through our GSA Contract, Schedule 70 utilizing the Cooperative Purchasing Program. At that time, we were at risk of losing our contract but we did not because of Jeff’s help. We have now met and exceeded the contract sales requirements.”
